# Choose your AI

> Use ChatGPT, Claude or Grok to power your Desk.

The AI interprets your request and decides which tools to use. Chance supplies the Desk, apps, wallets, routines and spending controls.

| Provider | Hosted sign-in |
| - | - |
| ChatGPT | Start sign-in in Chance, then enter the fresh device code on OpenAI's page. Device code login must be enabled in your ChatGPT account. |
| Claude | Follow the Claude authorization flow opened by Chance. |
| Grok | Follow the Grok authorization flow opened by Chance. |

Complete only a sign-in you started from your Desk. You do not need to paste your account password into a conversation.

## Same Desk tools

All three providers use the Desk's installed tools and spending controls. Choosing a provider does not change which wallets the Desk may use or turn off your limits.

Available models and usage limits depend on the connection. Check the current selection in your Desk's AI settings rather than assuming every provider or plan has the same allowance.

## Account privacy

Hosted Claude sign-in requests inference access. It does not enable your Claude account connectors. Grok's hosted sign-in uses the permissions needed for the CLI, API access and session renewal; it does not request the broader profile or conversation scopes.

The provider still receives the conversation and tool results needed for its work. See [What stays private](/privacy/visibility) for the separate question of onchain privacy.
